Raivis went to his 9 month well baby check up this morning. He was a ham for the doctor, showing off his new trick... waving. The doctor said that he is growing and developing very well. He weighed in at 19.6 pounds (35th percentile) and measured at 29 inches (76th percentile). He got a couple of shots, he barely cried this time.
It has been quite the week at work (every week is a new adventure :)) Best story, a patient, who becomes confused in the afternoons, was going into everybody's rooms and turning on the call lights and leaving. The poor CNA was running around trying to help everyone but nobody really needed it. Oh, another favorite, a patient grabed my face (nicely) and says in her VERY loud and slurred way "Honey I love you" and then very quickly (who knew she could go that fast?) planted a purreed diet/chocolate milk kiss on my cheek. ICK! Sweet, but ICK!
We finally made it to the weekend! Nik works tonight but he has the rest of the weekend off. If Nik is feeling up to it (he has a cold and after working all night) we might try to go snow shoeing... we'll see how we are feeling tomorrow. Then on Sunday we are planning on going to a friend's house for the superbowl. Should be a fun weekend, hopefully we will have time for some rest too.
