Things I Love

  • When asked where he wants to go Raivis says, "Beach"
  • Every present Raivis opened today, he thought would be candy
  • When going for walks I am handed many sticks, rocks, and magnolia leaves to hold
  • Whenever Raivis comes across a curb, ledge, bench, or chair, he is compelled to sit on it
  • When asked "Did you toot?" He will open respond with "No, Grover!!" or "No, Millie"
  • To get food into the kid, it often works to "feed" it to toys first
  • He won't eat grapes and many other yummy healthy foods but will eat sand, dog food, and tissues
  • When we go to Target, Raivis has to greet the "target dog" in the window on the front doors
  • When we go to the grocery store down the street, we have to go look at the fish in the cooler, to say hi
  • Sometimes Grover and Raivis fight like the brothers they are
  • Every fire truck that passes the house, Raivis runs to the window as soon as he hears them, which is about 3 blocks away
  • The sight of a bus, tractor, ambulance, or police car are a cause for excitement
  • Raivis is able to identify a Volkswagen Bug, both old an new, he says "Bub!" He also can identify Mini Coopers, "Mini!" he says. All PT Cruisers and smart cars are "mini" too. He also can spot Jeeps, "Deep!"
  • After about 15 minutes in the car Raivis starts to say "ooout"
  • The passing of a train or airplane requires at least a minute of ooos and awes
  • He pretends to talk on the phone to all of our family members but when we have actual family members on the phone he won't talk
  • His favorite toy right now is a puppy dog that sings and talks, he likes to put it to bed saying, "shhh puppy, night night"
Happy 2nd birthday to my little man!
